The Nuclear Regulatory Commission issued a final Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact for its review and approval of the initial and updated Decommissioning Funding Plans submitted by Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation for the Wolf Creek Generating Station Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (Docket No. 72-79). The NRC staff concluded the proposed action is purely procedural and administrative: it authorizes no changes to licensed operations, no construction, no land-disturbing activity, and no changes in radiological or non-radiological effluents. Preparation of an EIS is not required.1
