FERC staff has prepared an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Worcester Resiliency Upgrade Project, proposed by Eastern Shore Natural Gas Company (Docket No. CP23-536-000). The project involves constructing five LNG storage vessels and vaporizers in Worcester County, MD, approximately 1.1 miles of new 10-inch pipeline looping in Sussex County, DE and Wicomico County, MD, and upgrades to existing pressure control and meter/regulating stations across Sussex, Worcester, and Somerset counties. FERC staff concludes the project would not constitute a major federal action significantly affecting the human environment. The Department of Transportation's PHMSA served as cooperating agency. Comments are due May 28, 2024.
