The BLM Wyoming State Director issued a Notice of Intent to amend the 2015 Worland Resource Management Plan and prepare an associated Environmental Assessment to allow the non-competitive direct sale of 1.0 acre of public land in Washakie County, Wyoming, to TAG Western Properties, LLC for $1,020.00. The parcel contains a metal shop and cabin built without authorization by a prior landowner and now used in adjoining ranch operations. Two alternatives are under consideration: a direct sale amending the RMP to authorize disposal, and No Action retaining federal ownership and initiating a trespass action. Wildlife is the one identified preliminary issue. The scoping comment period closes June 17, 2024.
