The Bureau of Land Management Oregon/Washington State Office issued a Notice of Intent to revise two Resource Management Plans covering approximately 2,460,000 acres of O&C and Coos Bay Wagon Road lands in 17 Oregon counties. The revision aims to increase sustained-yield timber harvest toward historically higher production levels, enhance wildfire fuel treatment capacity, and address barred owl management, all as directed in part by Executive Orders 14223 and 14225. Two alternatives are identified at this stage: no action and a preliminary action alternative. The scoping comment period closes March 23, 2026; no public meetings are currently planned.1234
