MARAD has issued a Notice of Availability for the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) covering the ST LNG Deepwater Port Development Project, a proposed LNG export terminal to be located approximately 10.4 nautical miles offshore Matagorda, Texas. The terminal would be capable of exporting up to 8.4 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) of liquefied natural gas. An informational open house and public meeting are scheduled for May 6, 2026, at the Bay City Civic Center in Bay City, Texas. Comments are due 45 days after the EPA publishes its notice of availability of the DEIS. The full impact analysis is in the DEIS itself; this Federal Register notice is procedural.12
