The NRC issued Subsequent Renewed Facility Operating License Nos. DPR-67 and NPF-16 to Florida Power and Light Company (FPL) for St. Lucie Plant, Units 1 and 2, located in St. Lucie County, Florida, on April 28, 2026. The licenses authorize FPL to operate the two Combustion Engineering designed pressurized-water reactors at core power levels not exceeding 3,020 megawatts thermal. The NRC also prepared a Record of Decision (ROD) supported by a final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS), published in March 2026, documenting the environmental review. The NRC staff concluded that adverse environmental impacts of subsequent license renewal are not so great that preserving the option of renewal for energy-planning decisionmakers would be unreasonable. FPL's application was originally submitted on August 3, 2021, and supplemented through November 20, 2025.123
